Phil is principally responsible for sourcing and conducting due diligence on investments, including private companies, asset managers and funds for SRI, PRI, MRI, Impact and ESG investments and portfolios. Phil also consults with key clients, and leads the firm’s strategic impact investing-related initiatives. Previously, Phil was a founding partner and served as Chief Investment Officer at Cornerstone Capital Group, an impact investment-focused registered investment advisory firm.
Phil graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in philosophy and legal studies. He’s a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Financial Planner®. He’s been active in the sustainable and impact investing field for many years, including six years of board service at US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment. He also currently serves on the board of Calvert Impact Capital, and on the Investment Committee for the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
Phil and his wife, Emiko, live in Ventura, where they enjoy hiking the many beautiful trails in the area.
